Pictures from the Russian party in New York City with Russian DJ, singer Alexander Menshikov, Russian MC-singer Misha and Gypsy dancer Anna were taken on Thursday, August 14, 2008 during the Russian night party at the night club "TOUCH" in New York City, 240 West 52nd Street, New York, New York, 10019.

Russian singer Alexander Menshikov (Sasha) is a native of a small town Bugulma, now Republic of Tatarstan (former USSR). Alexander studied singing in The Gnesin's Academy of Russian music in Moscow, Russia. He was a lead singer of Russian hard-rock bands "Black Coffee" and "BIM BOM" (eccentric show group) in Moscow, Russia. He performed on Soviet National TV and was at the finals at the international singing competition "Step to Parnas" (Russian equivalent of "American Idol"). He is a professional singer with many years of experience. Alexander Menshikov is the best Russian singer in the United States of America. Among Russian immigrants in the New York City Metropolitan area Sasha is know as The Russian Nightingale. Alexander Menshikov is a founder/director/owner of the popular Russian Wedding Music Band 5GRAND.US. Alexander Petrovich has vast repertoire ranges from classical to pop covers, rock, swing and music from around the world: Russian folk, Russian pop, Russian Gypsy, Italian, Ukrainian, and American.

The guests of the party loved Gypsy dance show by Anna Pipoyan. Anna has always been interested in all nationality of folk dances since her childhood. Anna studied and graduated with an Excellency Diploma of International Folk Dance from the University of Choreography for Russian Ballet in Armenia. She arrived in New York in her teens and danced professionally and choreographed her own dance pieces since. She has also trained in New York with well-known artists as Andrea del Conte for flamenco at the Broadway Dance Center ,and took classes at Fazel's School for Belly Dance. Specifically, she is trained in classical ballet, jazz ballet, flamenco, belly dance, took some classes of Indian ancient folk dance and more recently she has been exploring hip-hop and many other types of dances to create her own unique mixture of synthesizing of old and new.
Anna has performed in theatrical settings as well as corporate and private events including many celebrities at their private events: Mikhail Baryshnikov, Henry Kissinger, Barbara Walters, Oscar de la Renta (designer), Marc Jacob's 1001 arabian holiday costumed party at "Rainbow Room" in New York City.
She was also featured in concert with European singer Ingrid, MTV's "My Sweet 16" program showing her belly dance performance. Recently Anna was featured as a main belly dancer in DON OMARS "Salio el sol" music video, as well as performed her "Live python show" at "GUNS AND ROSES" band after concert party. Anna had her own sold out concert twice at the legendary Joe's Pub at the Public Theatre. She also had appeared in movie "Autumn in New York" as a gypsy dancer, directed by Joan Chen starring Richard Gere and Rider. Anna had television appearances on MTV, ESPN, Persian TV, and appeared in various commercial on Russian television RTV. She was involved in modeling as well as in commercials. With her solo act of variety of dances, Anna has traveled all over United States.
Anna has always been passionate about dancing her whole life and she hopes to continue and create more as it comes. Her idea for happiness is

Russian-English speaking MC Misha (a.k.a. Mikhail Smirnov) is the only one Russian MC in the United States who can play garmoshka, guitar and sings. MC Misha use to work as an emcee and tamada (the toastmaster) at the ZARYA's Wedding Banquet Hall in Moscow, Russia from 1987 to 1991. After he moved to the United States of America in 1991 MC Misha is narrating all concerts of Russian dance and music ensemble Barynya, and working as MC with Alexander Menshikov's New York Russian wedding music band 5GRAND.US and with many Russian DJs in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
